  • The photograph of Dr. Noguchi's mother, Shika that Ishizuka sent him.
    It has been said that he was determined to return home after seeing a figure of his aged mother and a handwritten letter of her.

    Relatively small even in those days but having unsuitably large hands for the body can tell the hardship of supporting her family.
  • In 1915, Dr. Hideyo Noguchi when he returned home temporarily, his mother Shika, his former teacher Sakae Kobayashi and Saburo Ishizuka.

    Shika was frequently visiting Koan temple alone to pray for the safety and the success of the doctor.
  • The party who finished the worship of gratitude stayed at Higashiyama hot spring and they would spend single night to lead to the birth of PAPLAL.

    After accomplishing a global great achievement Dr. Noguchi returned in triumph and worked on a lecture positively in each place of the whole country.
    Ishizuka accompanied and supported him.
  • Two of them often took photographs on their way and left many of them.
    Those became indispensable documents to talk about Dr. Noguchi's achievement.

    Later, the doctor and Ishizuka continued the correspondence in the letter, and PAPLAL was completed by spending some 20 years.

    and he treated a tooth of Yuan Shikai so that he gained a reputation for himself.

    Later, Ishizuka became a member of the House of Representatives for establishing the authority of the dentistry industry
    and had it recognized that the dentists formally viewed as engineers in those days should be viewed as doctors so that he became a man of influence of the dentistry society.
  • Toyokosei Seiyakusyo founded in Naitocho, Shinjuku-Ku Tokyo, in 1948.
    It started producing PPAPLAL, and as a medical facility using PAPLAL.
  • The voices of joy from the patients with the PAPLAL treatment increased and many letters of thanks arrived.
    The photograph is a handwriting of PAPLAL by a poet, Bansui Doi that praises both Noguchi and Ishizuka.
